Abstract: Strategies for promoting equity in access to vocational programs are essential for ensuring inclusive education and equitable opportunities for all learners. This study examines various approaches to enhancing access to vocational education among underrepresented groups, focusing on barriers and effective strategies for promoting equity. Objectives include assessing the current state of access to vocational programs among diverse student populations, identifying barriers to equitable access, and exploring perceptions of stakeholders on effective equity-promoting strategies. A survey research design is justified for its ability to gather data from 300 participants, including educators, policymakers, and students, using purposive sampling to ensure representation from marginalized communities across Lagos State. Case studies will highlight successful equity initiatives implemented in vocational schools, demonstrating their impact on student enrollment and retention rates. Findings indicate that targeted outreach programs, financial aid initiatives, and inclusive admissions policies significantly improve access to vocational education among historically disadvantaged groups. Recommendations emphasize the need for sustained funding for equity initiatives, professional development for educators in inclusive practices, and partnerships with community organizations to support marginalized students in vocational pathways.
